Welcome to the blog post about my competition winners! Becky and Eve…
I have only posted a few photos on Facebook of this wedding because I wanted to properly sit down and write about this.
Back in January when I announce my competition I received 26 entries which I was over the moon about, but none of them popped out to me like this one did.
Don’t get me wrong, the weddings and couples stories sounded lovely! but you know when you just get that feeling? I didn’t get it. Until a few days before my competition ended I received an email from Becky and Eve…
From the second I started reading their entry I was excited, very excited! The whole presentation and effort that they put into their entry was awesome!
You know when you just have that feeling that you would get along with someone so easily and have a great time with them and also know that they will really appreciate your effort and vision? Well I just knew.
Becky and Eve didn’t actually have a budget for a photographer, they also didn’t think that they would win the competition, well.. no-one ever thinks that am I right?
Anyway, I emailed them telling them that they were the winner and they were over the moon! They phoned me as well which was so lush! I felt like I had known them for ages which is always a good sign! 😉
As the weeks went on I received this STUNNING wedding invitation through the post, I was sooo excited!
I first met these two lovely ladies on their engagement shoot, we had a picnic and some drinks ( yes they were trying to get me drunk! ) haha. We had such a good time and I really appreciated them coming all the way from London to have their shoot with me.
Their wedding day came so soon, it took me and my mum 4.5 hours to get to Gunthorpe hall in Norfolk but my god was it worth it! What a beautiful venue! The place was so secluded, the grounds were HUGE.
On their wedding day it started to rain quite heavily in the morning which made Becky and Eve think about having the ceremony indoors, which we were all quite bummed about. In the end the weather cleared up and we managed to have it outside so it was smiles all around!
They moved to a ‘secret’ location for their meal which was really exciting because even I didn’t know where it was! I jumped into the car with Becky,Eve and Becky’s brother Mark and off we went!
We stopped off for some photos in a random gorgeous field for some quick shots! (Which were actually my favourite shots of them both in the end ).
We got to their secret location and omg it was so lush! You will see what I mean by looking at the photos.
After the meal we went back to Gunthorpe Hall and everyone just chilled and had a good time as I was snapping away. In the evening the guests were jamming together with live music, it was so cool! There were so many talented musicians at this wedding, a lot of people came from America and France.
It really was an incredible wedding and I feel like I made so many friends. Thanks to Becky and Eve for entering the competition! 😀 woohoo.
Enough talking and more photos! I hope you enjoyed the photos from the wedding. 🙂
PS. This wedding has been featured on Boho Weddings Blog!!
